Sitting and Rusting thread on the HAMB

Sitting for 35 years.
the size of the tree trunk though this body indicates many decades of not being disturbed

The above is a DeSoto converted into a truck because the owner had a body shop, but not cash for a truck

The Derelict DeSoto of Jonathan Ward, DeSoto front on a '52 Chrysler Town and Country custom wagon. Hot Rod Magazine cover car Mar 2011

Exterior is rat rod, genuine aged US steel and paint.

The engine is a new Hemi, and has vintage 392 era valve covers covering the new stuff. Sweet touch!
The lug nuts appear to be 1/2 inch or 9/16ths sockets... cool idea I've never seen anyone realize before.

Awesome interior

San Diego's Embarcadero park is a great car show location, and has several different car shows every year

The show was started off with the National Anthem. I don't know why they did this at 1030, it would be perfect at 8am, like every other playing of the National Anthem around America... anyway, the Marines looked sharp.
