The van of John Jackson ( NotStockPhotography.com) was back at SEMA, new paint, and looking better than last year. It's called the "Boogie Van"

the subtle panel paint is really well done, but doesn't overpower the total look of "Cool" by being contrasting colors or heavy outlined.. well done!

Looking into the past, the Cameraist - James Powell's incredible project

Richard asked in the comments how the addresses were found for the old photos, in order to find the current location to do these cool double images... Jason replied in the comments that the landmarks are fairly well known to him, as he has lived in DC a long time. I want to add to that this info, the photos are from Shorpy.com, and it's a great website I've browsed for years and reposted many images here, and in the numerous comments after each photo that Shorpy posts you can usually find the address, and the cross street, and more trivia about the items in the photos.

 It's a 2 year project, and this year was it's debut. Not just the coolest van we'll see for years to come, it's also a travelling office so Coby can display and sell hie magazines and t-shirts at car shows

None of the woodwork inside has any right angles. It's very smooth and pleasant to contemplate it's looks and use

 I've got 3 or 4 of these, and they are worth the money, just terrific photography. The one on the lower left is made up of photos taken at Fremont dragstrip between 1960-1964 by his dad, and stuffed away in a showbox in his dad's garage for 40+ years. That is family treasure.

Coby was given the front AND back of the newest issue of Rod and Kulture. effing awesome! Run out and buy a copy quick, you'll love it, and the photos throughout the magazine are far better than anything I've taken, quite a few are professional photos taken in studios. Perfect work. Enjoy!
